To get the latest Lame -- THIS IS RIDICULOUS

I've been trying to get the latest Lame, but http://lame.buanzo.com.ar/
seems to have "403 Forbidden" links. Still "403 Forbidden" when try to access from other file find sites.

IOW, this link gives page saying "403 Forbidden":
http://lame.buanzo.com.ar/Lame_v3.98.2_ ... indows.exe

Checked my hosts file, shut down firewall, and enabled scripting in Firefox -- NO DIFF.
I've been downloading stuff for ten years via several means and THIS IS RIDICULOUS.
And when others insist ppl are just not following instructions -- this becomes a cruel joke.

Finally found the files here:
http://audacity.homerow.net/index.php?dir=lame%2F
and was able to DL with no problems (like anywhere else (EXCEPT above)).

Something is going on here that really needs to be explained to ppl.
Like ISP blocking or something.

Also, when installing Lame, it doesn’t need to go on C.
Just put it in AudacityPlug-Ins and tell Audacity where to look.

Audacity is AWESOME!

The only blocking being done deliberately is blocking where HTTP referrers are not sent. This was explained only a couple of days ago here. Sometimes firewalls can block referrers (probably called "private browsing") and browsers usually have similar optional features too. Check aboutconfig in Firefox, or whether some Firefox extension is blocking referrers.

Also, when installing Lame, it doesn’t need to go on C.Just put it in AudacityPlug-Ins and tell Audacity where to look.

Audacity 1.3.7 can see the specific lame_enc.dll it needs automatically, without the need to tell Audacity where to look, if it's placed in C:Program FilesLame for Audacity (where the installer puts it) or in the Audacity installation folder, or in the Plug-Ins folder inside that. .
