Audacity 1.2.x and 1.3.x are obsolete and no longer supported. If you still have those versions, please upgrade at https://www.audacityteam.org/download/.
The old forums for those versions are now closed, but you can still read the archives of the 1.2.x and 1.3.x forums.

Locating section to be acted upon
Oftentimes it is necessary to zoom-in to find the precise area to be fixed with various methods. The problem is that the zooming-in process moves the target off the screen. There are ways to move the file to the left or right, but they are too crude. They overshoot the mark. Is there a way to gradually and precisely move the file in order to reach the target? Say you want the section from 2.5 to 2.6, how do you get there? In other words, I'm looking for a fine-tuning method. Does it exist?
