Duration of a selection?

Post by DavidDStubbs » Wed Mar 11, 2009 6:27 pm

I'm trying to easily extract the duration (length in seconds) of a selection (or the span of a labeled region).

Does Audacity (1.3.7 or earlier) provide a readout or tool that would report the interval?

Thanks very much!

Yes - the selection bar at the bottom of the main window shows the start time and either the length, or the end time (user selectable) and the current play position.

The time can be displayed in various formats, including h:m:s:ms, samples, PAL frames, NTSC frames .... (16 formats to choose from).

Thank you!

The start, end or length, and other values are shown in the Selection toolbar, View->Toolbars->Selection Toolbar.
