Adding a field to Metadata

Post by cmac185 » Mon Feb 15, 2016 2:39 am

I've searched the help and haven't found an answer so I'm asking here - Is there a way to add a field to the Metadata that will be recoginzed in another program? I'm thinking specifically of iTunes. iTunes has a metadata field named "grouping" that I would like to set in Audacity and have recoginized in iTunes. Is there a way to do this? I've added the Grouping title and data to the Audacity Metadata, but it isn't recognized in iTunes grouping field when it imports the AAIF file that is created by Audacity. Thanks.

Please see this item about TXXX tags in the 2.1.2 Release Notes: http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/Relea ... 2#metadata.

Thanks. Had read that when I downloaded the new version, but apparently I forgot what I had read. Is this on the bug list yet? It's not a big deal to me, just would be handy.

Any bug listed in the release notes is by definition a P2 or P3 bug on Audacity Bugzilla.
