Hi,
I just installed my new Audacity Software 2.1.0 on the WIN 7 Laptop of my wife. I can record music and save it as an mp3. But when I playback the recording I can turn on the volume only so much (or little) before I get a feedback which is very annoying. What am I doing wrong?
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Peter

Re: Playback problem
2.1.0 is rather old now. Here is the correct place to download Audacity from http://audacityteam.org/download/windows. Audacity is at version 2.1.2 now.
Are you recording yourself singing or playing an instrument, or recording a song playing on the internet? If the latter, see Tutorial - Recording Computer Playback on Windows - Audacity Manual.
From your description, you may have recorded a song playing on the computer with Transport > Software Playthrough turned on in Audacity. This will give you loud echoes.
If the song was OK in Audacity before you exported it as MP3, where exactly are you playing that MP3?
