Software Playthrough delay [SOLVED]

Help for Audacity on Windows.

old lap top died, it fought for a long time. Any way, I have forgotten how to adjust my settings for no lag on play thru.

You need to turn off Software Playthough (because it is passing the audio via software, there will always be an unavoidable delay).
Whether you can achieve latency free monitoring depends on your hardware. Most USB audio devices have latency free monitoring if you plug your headphones into the USB device rather than into the computer. For internal sound cards, look in the Windows Sound Control Panel to see if direct monitoring is available for the device.
