Help with noise reduction in audio clip

Hello,
I apologize if this is a duplicate - I added a topic but can't find where it posted. I have a digital recording I did using an Olympus digital recorder. It has background noise that seems just from the microphone and I am looking to reduce that and enhance the audio. It is picking up a male voice quite well, but a female voice that is harder to hear and I am trying to dictate the words. I am a novice at this, so any help is appreciated.

Here are the instructions for using the noise reduction effect. You give it a sample of noise-only and it tries to separate-out the noise.

But, noise reduction usually only works well when you have a constant low-level background noise. If the noise is bad, the cure can be worse than the disease.

The human brain is usually the best filter, so if you can't understand what's being said the software might not help. But, you can try the Equalization effect to boost the high frequencies. Boosting the high frequencies tends to bring-out the "T" and "S" sounds and that can help with intelligibility. Click the Graphic EQ mode, and push-up sliders above about 4000Hz. Pulling-down the sliders below about 100Hz will reduce low-frequency noise. And, you can just play with the equalizer to see if you can make any improvement...
