Audacity not recognizing 2 mics??...

Post by T.M.A. » Tue Oct 20, 2015 7:38 pm

Hey guys,

I did a lot of reading and even called Roland before I posted this:

I'm using a ROLAND QUAD CAPTURE interface. It has two channels: "INPUT 1 L" and "INPUT 2 R"

For some reason, Audacity is recording both of the mics on to one mono track. It is not recognizing each track to be separate...

I want to record two individual, mono, tracks (mics) simultaneously.

I just have to figure out how to get audacity to recognize the two tracks coming out of the quad capture as 2 individual mono tracks...

Help?

Thanks

Audacity cannot do that yet. Set Audacity in Device Toolbar to record in stereo, then use the Audio Track Dropdown Menu to "Split Stereo to Mono".
