I could not get WDM-KS to work at all. Records silence.

I did find out that Reaper wasn't having a problem. It was me not click on the peak meters & selecting "Input: Stereo" "Aux 1 L / Aux 1 R" to get a stereo recording.

I just can't understand code & put your info together to compile Audacity. Maybe in time but I just can't understand it.

Do you still need ASIO to record correctly in Reaper with your maximum memory?

Do you have the 64-bit or 32-bit version of Reaper? Is Reaper recording to RAM or disk?

Audacity is only 32-bit and can address only 2 GB of memory. The Audacity versions you have tried don't have an option to record to RAM.

Doing it a step each day or two can be good. Start with installing Visual Studio, which should be familiar enough.

I still need to record with ASIO in Reaper

I'm using Reaper 32bit

I'm not sure if Reaper is recording to RAM or disk. I didn't change anything in Reaper except for the sound driver "ASIO"
