connecting digital keyboard to Audacity

connecting digital keyboard to Audacity
...should I use the Audio Out 1/4 or the midi out...Audacity wont recognize the midi connection...windows 8.1 Casio 2400 B connector to usb dirct no mixer...thx

Possibly neither one. Audacity doesn't speak MIDI enough to make a recording and I'm betting your computer doesn't have a non-microphone audio connection.
I do it with my keyboard headphone connection into a Stereo USB adapter - Behringer UCA-202.

I used a 1/4" plug for the keyboard adapted to dual RCA connections for the UCA-202.
