How to cut & paste more than one track ?

Post by Pobinr » Mon Feb 09, 2009 9:38 pm

I'm trying to duplicate a section of music. It's in two Audacity tracks. I want to copy & paste both of them so they both repeat that section which is complimentary.
If I copy & paste just one track then that gets extended by that much & from thereon in they are out of sync by that much. Also the music in the other track is not repeated when It needs to be. It only seems possible to highlight, drag then copy & paste one track. How I can drag, copy & paste both the tracks ?
I tried dragging along the bar between them but that doesn't work. Any assistance appreciated.

Drag across the tracks to select the bit that you want to repeat, then select "Repeat" from the effects menu.
You can also toggle track selections by pressing the Enter key or by holding down the shift key and clicking just below the track name.
