separating tracks

Help for Audacity on Windows.

Audacity 1.2.x and 1.3.x are obsolete and no longer supported. If you still have those versions, please upgrade at https://www.audacityteam.org/download/.

I've tried all of the steps above (updating from your link, Exporting Multiple with all the appropriate checkmarks, etc.), but it's still not saving separate tracks. Instead it simply exports as a single file, oddly named "untitled" even though the project is named. I get this result whether I export as .WAV or .MP3.

I know I have done this before many times, probably with earlier versions. I'm using Windows Vista. Thanks.

Are you exporting multiple by adding labels in a Label Track?

If so, have just one Audacity audio track. Then the radio button "Split files based on: Labels" will be automatically selected for you in the Export Multiple dialogue.

If you still cannot work if out, use View > Fit in Window, View > Fit Vertically, then show us a screenshot of the Audacity window. Please see here for how to attach files: http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic ... 49&t=64936.
