how to delete effects e.g. delay
I messed up and put delay on some of my tracks that I wanted to leave untouched, how do I remove unwanted effects from a track. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Gary

Re: how to delete effects e.g. delay
If the Project is still open, Audacity keeps a running list of all your effects, so it should be possible to repeatedly UNDO your way out. If you exported a sound file or saved your Project and you really mean the Echo effect, you're dead. The export has the echo burned in and Projects do not save UNDO.
We can't remove echo from an effect or a live recording.
If you really mean Delay, you can open your Project or Import your show and use the Time Shift Tool (two sideways black arrows) to put the tracks back where they were.
