Help for Audacity on Windows.

No sound imputting

Hello I'm using Audacity 2.0.5 and I'm trying to record links (for a radio show I do). Now usually it works fine - it has for the past year, but for some reason when I press record audacity doesn't pick up my voice (or any sound!). I'm desperate to record something and need help!

I can play audio files in Audacity fine - so has a wrong setting been clicked perhaps? I can add more details if needed.

What kind of microphone do you have and how is it connected? The computer can have many different audio connections. One recent posting wondered why the microphone wasn't working when they had the CD player music selected.

Whatever you're using for a microphone and the setting in the Audacity Device toolbar have to match.
