My turntable only works with mix meister

I don't like I tunes, it's too big. I am trying to configure my Ion usb turntable to work with Reaper. I get a level, I can see it. I don't get audio. What gives? It's lame because I'd use mixmeister if I could use it without I tunes.

You're complaining on the Audacity forum that you can't get Reaper to work?
