Hello folks,
I've been trying to record some tunes with my bass guitar and electronic guitar via M-audio Fast Track and Audacity 2.0.5. All projects have a hissing background sound. Here is an example. https://www.dropbox.com/s/mao5ib4h7qxv2hd/Hissing.wav
I appriciate your help and sorry if this has been asked before but i couldn't find any post related with my problem.

Re: Hissing Sound
I don't hear anything I would characterize as "hissing" in the sample you posted. There is
a bit of buzz that I suspect power line related, but it is hard to tell. Could you post a
sample that has several seconds of what should be silence before you start playing?
(It's useful to have both so we can gauge the magnitude of the problem).
