I've used Audacity (1.3.6) to cut and fade a few audio files recently, and one thing that bugged me is that I can select audio beyond the end of the file. This is a nuisance e.g. when trying to add a fade to the end of the file. It also makes it hard to select unto the very end of the file, and is a bit inconsistent since I can't go over the beginning of the file in the same way.
Is there an option to turn this behaviour off?
Selection beyond the end of the file?

To select up to the end of a track, use Shift + K
