Same as the "normal" waveform view, but instead of the vertical scale showing absolute (linear) values, it shows dB values, as in the mock-up below.
It may have been the first thing I ever asked for.
It doesn't seem to be on Feature Requests yet nor do I think any one else has asked for it. :o

We seem to have three feature requests here:
  1. Additional dB options between -60 and -90 dB in Meter/Waveform dB range:
    http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic ... 20#p249620 and http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic ... 25#p249625
    • Unless there are objections I will commit that patch after 2.1 is released.
  2. Easier access to setting dB range (rather than 'hidden' away in preferences).
    • possibly with independent settings for meters and tracks.
    • possibly per-track settings.
  3. Option to display dB scale in (linear) Waveform view (as per mockup: http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic ... 00#p249700
Items 2 and 3 should be on the wiki FR request page (and possibly Bugzilla enhancements) if they are not already.

Not displaying dB numbers in negative going half of Waveform (dB) vertical scale is already on Bugzilla (http://bugzilla.audacityteam.org/show_bug.cgi?id=521)
