Hi,
I"m new to USB turntables, but have managed to record with audacity ok (my new turntable came with a cd of audacity). However, after recording about 3 LPs with no real problems, suddenly today when i click on the input level monitor symbol (the little mic) I get screeching feedback. No opportunity to record anything. The needle is fine, as the turntable is new and I can hear the music playing very faintly. I've tried using both my USB ports, but that makes no difference. I'm not sure what to do now.
Has anyone else had these problems? Does anyone have any ideas what I could do? Many thanks!

Everybody's had these troubles. Since you're on a Mac, you can stop using USB and go analog--assuming your turntable supports it, and most do.
