Very Suprised & Impressed by This lil Program Audacity 1.3

When my friend gave it to me I opened it & laughed. I though it was a joke. This lil DAW can do anything..... WOW I am verry impressed.... GREAT WORK..... Ill post track soon!!!!! :mrgreen:

Yes, it's a lovely simple editor, but it's not a Digital Audio Workstation. For one thing, it won't do anything in real time. No capture filters.

Also no shortage of users trying to make it into one, but there is a limited number of volunteer developers and programmers, and keeping the basic code stable is a full time job.

Can you write instruction books?

Yea sorry DAW was the wrong word to use. As far as write instruction Books, What exactly do you mean? As far as volunteer developers and programmers. I think i might know just the guy to help out also. Once I show him this.

What he means is - are you any good at writing manuals?

One of the skills the development teeam is short of is folks to write and edit the manual for the upcoming 1.4 release. A lot of it is done - but there is still more to do - and it may yet become the critical path, potentially delaying the release of 1.4.

So now that you are learning Audacity - and the beta version too which will eventually become 1.4 - and if you have the skills, the time and the inclination to help - then the development team will be glad to hear from you. You can send a PM to Gale Andrews or just post back here.
