My recording is skiping....:(

Post by kbsig175 » Mon Apr 28, 2014 8:21 pm

Hi i could really use your help

I currently record from my 2 CDJ 900's and my DJM 900 mixer. I have the latest version of audacity 2.0.5. I use an external focusrite scarlett 2i4 sound card with my Mac Book pro. When I tried to record my track, the entire track was skiping and garbled. I tried unpluging the external sound card and used the computer sound card with not problems. I did just install the lastest OS mavericks update. Before I installed the Mac OS update, i had no problems with my external sound card.

Then Mavericks is apparently the problem.

Hi there,

As Gale said, please try installing Class Compliant mode. To do this, please go to the following link, select the 2i2/2i4 and download the ClassCompliantMode.App.Zip file.

Then run/install the script and restart.

Let me know if this resolves the issue!

Best,
Miles
