If you don't need Kontakt to open files with .CFG extension, you can make TextEdit open .CFG files instead.
To do that, right-click or control-click over audacity.cfg and choose "Open with", then "Other...".
In the window that opens, put a tick mark in the "Always Open With" box, select "TextEdit.app" then click "Open". Now, audacity.cfg and other .CFG files should open with TextEdit and not Kontakt.
If you need to open a .CFG file with Kontakt, you can still do so by right-click or control-click over the file then choose Kontakt from the list.
