smoothing out transition

Post by gibby » Thu Dec 11, 2008 10:54 pm

I'm trying to smooth out a transition from one sample to another. I concatonated them together but it's obvious where the schism is when you listen to it. Both samples are relatively the same in sound quality, but you still notice the difference. Is there an effect that smooths out the transition from one to the other?

You can do a crossfade. There's a second there where one side fades out and the other one fades in. You can hide a number of problems like that--but if the difference is sharp enough, you'll still be able to hear it.
