Audacity-rendered my computer deaf??
I attempted to record an LP with Audacity, although I saw a flat line throughout, but just decided to let it run through to see what would happen. Nothing of course, but worse. Not only was there nothing on that file but a fluctuating volume line, now I can't hear anything through either my computer speakers or plug in. I went into start and accessories as well as the control on the lower right. Nothing. I deleted Audacity and turned my computer off and on. Nothing. What happened?

The first thing that happened is you didn't delete Audacity. Or not the whole thing. You also need to lose the audacity.cfg preferences file for a complete deletion.
Your Windows Sound Panel probably got reset.
Windows Control Panel

While you're messing with this, don't use Audacity for testing. Play a CD or DVD or visit YouTube.
