Hello, I have a file with a rather loud parasite sound, checking in audacity I can see just by counting the waves that it's exactly 50hz, like if somehow some AC current found a way into the recording. Anyway, what is the way to remove it that doesn't damage the rest of the recording, or the least possible ? I Tried "noise removal" but the rest had a weird sound, tried the equalizer but it didn't remove it enough, even pushing it to -120dB, maybe I'm not doing it like I should although.
Thanks in advance.

You could try the Notch filter http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/notch_filter.html
