Any option to group installed plug-ins?

The only foolproof way that I can think that Audacity could correctly and reliably reconstruct arbitrary user grouping for all effects, would be to look at the file name and checksum for each file when Audacity is launched. However, if there are a lot of plug-ins then doing so would considerably slow down the time for Audacity to launch.
A quicker, but less reliable method could be to look only at the file name and effect name for each recognised plug-in.

I think I'm finally understanding that this is far more complex than I'd thought.
