My original post on Arch Linu was here: https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=170147
I am thinking this is more of a program issue, as the SVN version works.
Kernel: 3.11.1-1-ARCH
Audacity: audacity 2.0.4-1
Desktop: KDE, but also tested on Gnome 3
I am using audacity from the official Arch Linux repositories
No "default" option for capturing audio anymore
