problem importing audio with unicode filename

Post by jacken » Sat Nov 22, 2008 6:33 pm

I'm running Audacity 1.3.6 on a XP sp3 machine. When importing audio with unicode filename, Audacity will crash and close. No problem with 1.3.5. Any idea? Thanks.

Are you sure that you installed the unicode version?
You should be using the "Windows 2000/XP/Vista: Audacity 1.3.6 installer (.exe file, 4.1 MB)" version from this page: http://audacityteam.org/download/beta_windows

Yup. It was version 1.3.6. It has the word unicode on the About screen.
