Can't install ffmpeg import/export

it's still incompatible. I did notice that the new dbghelp.dll is much smaller the the first one you gave us. Here is the log:

We've made some changes to the checking routine in the code. The build is here:

If FFmpeg still does not load for anyone, please post the output from Help > Show Log... and say what version of Windows you are on.

I have tried many things to get this to work, nothing has yet. I Vista U. first used "audacity-win-1.2.6", this version doesn't ask for the FFmpeg library, then I installed the "Audacity 1.3.4 (Beta)" which did ask for both. I got the "Lame" to be found automaticly, the FFmpeg was not. I downloaded both exe and zip neither worked, place file in in serveral places including in programs "FFmpeg & Audacity" (not at the same time). I keep getting "Failed to find compatible FFmpeg libraries" no matter where I point to!!?

So whats the deal? I see all these questions for older operating systems has this problem not been fixed?

I Vista U. first used "audacity-win-1.2.6", this version doesn't ask for the FFmpeg library,

Audacity 1.2.6 cannot use FFmpeg, so it is limited to WAV, AIFF, FLAC, OGG and MP3 formats only.
Also, Audacity 1.2.6 is not recommended for Vista as it has multiple known problems on modern computers.

Audacity 1.3.4 is obsolete.
