Well I did offer a £100. For all I know that's all the time it might take a clever developer.
The connection chain is guitar into Kemper
SPDIF out from Kemper to Focusrite Saffiire pro 14 external sound card.
Thunderbolt out from Focusrite Saffiire pro 14 external sound card to Thunderbolt in on Mac

Hi any fix for this yet ?
Re: Focusrite Saphire 14. Can't select correct input
Audacity uses PortAudio to access the computer sound system. PortAudio doesn't provide a platform-independent way to select arbitrary channels. You can only specify a certain number of channels N, which means that the channels 1 to N are used. As far as I'm aware, PortAudio only supports selecting arbitrary channels for ASIO. As Audacity cannot be distributed with ASIO support (due to licensing restrictions), there is little incentive for the Audacity developers to pursue this until PortAudio supports selecting arbitrary channels for native audio APIs on each platform.

On Linux, channel mapping can be achieved using Jack Audio System and one of the Jack patching utilities (such as Patchage). Jack Audio System is also available for macOS, though for Sierra or later it appears that the beta version of Jack2 is required (some information here: https://github.com/jackaudio/jack2/issues/144)

Thanks Steve. Quite technical isn't it. I use Mac so will have to stick with Logic pro.
Or use Audacity & delete tracks 1-4 every time. I much prefer Audacity. The ergonomics are better than Logic pro. And it's quite sufficient for my needs.
