I have Audacity v.2.0.3 using a PC 64-bit. I have an AIFF (.aifc) file of 96MB (2.5 hour interview) which I am trying to import for clean up of background noise. The file imports, but on playback it only plays the first few seconds in a loop.
What am I doing wrong?

Have you installed FFmpeg http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/fa ... tml#ffdown ?
This may be necessary depending on what compressed format the AIFC actually contains.
Alternatively if you have iTunes you can drag the AIFC into iTunes and convert it to WAV (just choose WAV encoder instead of MP3 encoder in those steps).
