Selection Length Format

In 1.2.x, audacity would display the selection length seconds as floating-point with 8+ digits. In 1.3, it shows only to the nearest millisecond. I can select samples, but....

I'm using audacity in an education setting with elementary students. Having to explain sample rates adds extra overhead and loses some. Is there a way to get back to just displaying floating-point seconds or add extra precision (apart from recompiling). I can recompile on Linux, but the class has Mac's and I don't have a development environment for that....

TIA,

roland

If you zoom in, the time line indicates positions to greater precision.
