Hi there,
I'm using version Audacity 2.0.2 on a Mac Book Pro using Lion 10.7.5. Can anyone give me a clue as to why Audacity will not record from my Vestax controller? I figured when I selected the controller as the input device on Audacity, it would simply pick up its output via the USB connected to my Mac.
Actually, it does record the controller but only when i'm using it connected to a vinyl deck and then only out of one channel (C out of A, B, C and D (C and D are the channels on the mixer for external inputs). I also tried to record audio files out of the controller using Serato. No joy at all.
Help!?

Re: recording problem using Vestax controller
Because the audio isn't in the controller? The Vestax is a MIDI controller turning your hands into the control system for the music software inside the Mac. The Mac and iTunes is the source of the music.
I've never done this, but I suspect you could record the Mac with SoundFlower software and get the show that way.
