Guitar recording-programs

Post by Stormalv » Sat Nov 15, 2008 1:45 pm

Hi everyone :)

I was wondering if it's possible to get guitar amp simulating programs like Revalver MK II to work with Audacity? If so, how? I also have the installation CD for Guitar Rig 3, if that works. :)

On a PC, Audacity supports VST plugins. GR3 and Revalver can be use as VST plugins.

On a PC, Audacity partially supports some VST plugins.
Audacity does not fully support VST graphical interfaces - you just get a list of sliders, not the usual pretty VST interfaces.
More information here: http://audacityteam.org/wiki/index.php? ... T_Plug-ins

You need to be careful if using VST plug-ins as loading an incompatible one can completely stop Audacity from working at all. (Nyquist and LADSPA plug-ins tend to be less problematic).

Are you confirming that these two plug-ins work with Audacity? Are there any issues with them?
Perhaps you could give some tips as to how to use them in Audacity.

I've tried Revalver with Audacity, and I can't get it to work... Have anyone tried using Guitar Rig with it?
