Recording from computer output

I would like to record sounds that I produce on my computer- what I hear, but directly from speakers output, not from microphone.
Is this feature available with Audacity 2.0.3 ??

No, because the only way Audacity can record computer playback is to record the sound while it is playing on the audio device. Although Linux and Windows permit this, Mac does not.

Please read http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/tu ... n_mac.html for solutions to this, for example using Soundflower to route the stream to itself which can then be recorded by Audacity.
