Wondering about startup options . . .

Post by Phattlippz » Sat Feb 16, 2013 9:41 pm

Hi - I'm running the latest version, and I'm wondering if there is an option to start up the program in "simple" mode, without all of the 3rd party .vst/.component plug-ins loading. This is causing me some grief, as I often don't have my iLok key with me and scrolling through all the hundreds of error messages is really annoying when I just want to convert some files to .mp3. ;)

Any help would be great! TC

Audacity > Preferences > Effects
Select or de-selet your brains out. Audacity has very few command line options.

If you cannot launch Audacity in reasonable time because of the plug-ins, edit audacity.cfg to disable VST and Audio Unit support. See here for instructions.
