Audacity as failed to start

Help for Audacity on Windows.

Please state which version of Windows you are using,
and the exact three-section version number of Audacity from "Help menu > About Audacity".

Audacity 1.2.x and 1.3.x are obsolete and no longer supported. If you still have those versions, please upgrade at https://www.audacityteam.org/download/.

Audacity as failed to start

I got a problem opening Audacity. A message window appears with text:

C:Program FilesAudacityaudacity.exe
This application has failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem.

I tried re-installing Audacity 2.0.2 but problem still persists. May I seek for advice?

First Welcome, Next we need to know what operating system you are using. kinda need to know about your system, how much ram, how much HDD space open, thing like that. Thanks Marty

Probably XP or Win 2000.
