Runtime Error - Unusual termination!

I use Windows Vista 64-bit OS. The Audacity program works fine for several minutes to a couple of hours, then it quits. I get the following message:

Microsoft Visual C++Runtime Library

Runtime Error!

Program C:P...

This application has requested the Runtime to terminate in an unusual way.
Please contact the application's support team for more information.

Any advice is appreciated. Thanks.
