After making a recording of some parrots, I want to determine how often they make a sound. I need something that determines the start and end of a sound and count that as one. Then is just a matter of exporting the time of that sound. With that I could easily plot the data in excel.
Any ideas? Anyone that can develop this for a fee?
Thank you

Re: Determine noise per hour
As Koz said ( http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic ... 51#p188551 ) it may be best to produce an audio file that is the sum total of the squawking, so continuous over that time.yacahuma wrote:After making a recording of some parrots, I want to determine how often they make a sound. If there is enough difference in loudness between background noise and the squawking, try Analyze > Sound Finder.
