Hi there! I'm running the 2.0.1 version of Audacity, I have a Macbook running OS X version 10.6.8, and I'm trying to figure out how the VST Synth1 plugin operates. I got it installed and everything, it all opens up fine, but when I make adjustments with the plugin it doesn't seem to do anything. I click "Preview" on the bottom each time to see if something has happened but I haven't gotten it to work yet. Then I thought that maybe the synthesizer could only effect tracks that were already recorded, so I recorded something and attempted to affect it using the plugin but that didn't work either.
Anyone got any advice/clues on how to fix this?

Audacity does not support VSTi (VST Instruments).
