Program Won't Open

Help for Audacity on macOS.
Forum rules
ImageThis forum is for Audacity on macOS 10.4 and later.
Please state which version of macOS you are using,
and the exact three-section version number of Audacity from "Audacity menu > About Audacity".

Audacity 1.2.x and 1.3.x are obsolete and no longer supported. If you still have those versions, please upgrade at https://www.audacityteam.org/download/.
The old forums for those versions are now closed, but you can still read the archives of the 1.2.x and 1.3.x forums.

Program Won't Open

Hello, I am trying to complete a school assignment that requires to use this program. It was working for a while and now it will not open anymore. I really need to figure out what's going on ASAP so I can complete my schoolwork. Attached is a screenshot of what happens every time I try to open the program. Thanks :D

Your system has Waves plugins installed, which Audacity has problems with. Either remove those plugins, or follow the instruction on this page

to disable VST and Audio Unit plugins.
