I have just downloaded Audacity 2.0.1 and I cannot get the UCA202 to play back audio. I get the "Error while opening Sound Device" message.
I still have Audacity 1.2.5 on my machine and the UCA202 works fine with it and my other audio programs.
I have tried restarting the computer, confirming USB audio codec in System Preferences and Audio Midi Setup, Making changes in Audacity Preferences, all with no effect.
Any suggestions? thanks

Solved my own problem with help from this forum. After re-reading some posts, I took another look at the Audio Midi Setup program in the Utilities folder. After I selected "Properties for: USB Audio CODEC" in the middle of the screen, I saw that the audio output was set for 1-ch 16 bit. After I changed that to 2-ch 16 bit and restarted Audacity, I was able to get sound from the UCA202 (and all my other programs still work, too.)
