Cant save or export my project
Hey, I'm having a bit of trouble here. I recorded two tracks in a file and im trying to save it, but I cant save it in any way or export it to any kind of file. The options are all selectable, I didn't leave it in pause mode as opposed to stop, and I have no clue what the hell to do. I use OSX 10.5.8 and I downloaded Audacity from a dmg. Any help would be appreciated.

So File > Save Project is selectable, not greyed out? What happens when you select it? Same with File > Export.

Re: Cant save or export my project
You left us with a hole at the critical point. What does it do?
Try using plain characters in your filenames. You can get into serious troubles trying to put dates, for example, in a filename. Today is 20120701, not 7/1/12. Upper and lower case letters, numbers, dash and underscore are unconditionally accepted.
If you recorded for a long time, is it possible you have a show bigger than the drive space to hold it? Do you have a thumb drive or USB drive you can plug in and try that?
