Audacity won't export wav files properly

Post by Day » Thu May 24, 2012 3:39 am

I had audacity 1.2 beta (or 1.something) and all of a sudden whenever I tried exporting the audio into a wav file it gave me this; Error while writing WAV (microsoft) file (disk full?). Libsndfile says "(then it'll say a bunch of random stuff or a single letter)" so I uninstalled it and installed 2.0 and it's still doing the same thing. I googled the problem and I got something about needing a dll file off of source forge but when i downloaded and injector it just went over my head and frustrated me. so please help a fool out step by step, thank you.

The project has invalid metadata - the random stuff in the error message (probably due to importing a file that contained invalid metadata ).

In Audacity 2.0, go to the File menu and select the Metadata Editor.
Press the "Clear" button, then the "OK" button.
You should now be able to export.
