good mp3 imported in audacity sounds bad

I imported an mp3 from my desktop. If you just click on the mp3 to play it in windows media player it sounds fine. Once it is imported in Audacity, it sounds like an old record being played in slow motion. Is there some setting I'm missing. I've done this many times and never had this problem before.

Since it's just that one file that causes the problem, it's almost certainly a peculiarity with that file. If you are on Windows, grab a (free) copy of "SUPER" by erightsoft and take a look at the advanced properties - then compare it with a "normal" mp3.
