Not exporting any file type? (SOLVED)

Post by monalumamonanana » Thu Mar 29, 2012 11:42 pm

So I just used Audacity to speed up a song and am trying to get it back on itunes. No matter what type I export it as, once it finishes, the file has no type. It literally says "Type: File" under the file info instead of "Type: MP3" or WAV or something. I have all the default settings too. Am I doing something wrong?

My guess is that the name that you have given to the file includes a dot.
If that's the case, don't do that. Stick to normal alphanumeric characters for file names and avoid punctuation characters or other "special" characters.
