help me please

ok i've just started to use AC so please be nice if this is a stupid question.

so i recorded a sound clip but after i exported it as an mp3 and went to go play it the recording was speed up like 10x i sounded like a chipmunk on speed or something. is there something i'm doing wrong or is it a settings issue

well i played around with it a bit more and i found out that it is not actually speeding the recording up (i made a 1 minute recording and exported it and it was still 1 minute) but for some reason it is still doing this weird chipmunk thing to my voice. when i play the recording in audacity (before i save it or anything) it works fine just the mp3 version of it is way way way off

ok never mind i think i figured it out. looks like the program i was using to listen to it just didn't like the file for some reason. tried opening it using quicktime and it worked fine.
