trouble exporting MP3 with specific settings

Post by meritalxbx » Thu Sep 18, 2008 7:11 pm

hi!
i'm tying to export mp3 with the lame codec. i'm starting from a .wav file.
i needed to convert to three different things : 320kbps 44100Hz, 128kbps 44100Hz and 64kbps 44100Hz.

it works perfect to export the 320 and 128 kbps in 44100Hz.
but when i export in 64kbps, after having checked in the preferences that it was set to 44100Hz, the final mp3file is always in 24000Hz.
no matter what i do...

anybody have an idea....
please help :?

system : mac OSX 10.4, audacity 1.2.5, lame codec 3.97.

There are some known problems exporting with specific settings in the current version of Audacity. I think that it has been fixed now, so Audacity 1.3.6 should work correctly when it is released. In the mean time, the easiest solution is probably to use an external encoder. I use "LameDrop" which is easy to use and very good.
