Cannot record streamed audio from internet radio stations without having the speakers on. Is this normal? Want to record directly from sound card. Have tried all settings, unable to get it to work. Can anyone help? :(

Yes, that's normal. The only way to "capture" sound from the Internet is to record "What-You-Hear".

If you have a desktop computer, you speakers probably have a volume control onm the speakers themselves that you can turn-down, or you can turn-off their power. If you have a laptop and you want to turn-off the speakers, you can plug-in headphones/earphones.
