You Tube freezes when Audacity is started

Hi,
If I start Audacity when YouTube is playing, the video freezes. This is easily rectified by starting
YouTube first; but I was wondering if this is affect is specific to my system.

Traditionally, Audacity Does Not Play Well With Others. That's one reason it's not a good package to record Skype.
I'm not on a Windows machine, but that behavior wouldn't be surprising. Koz

I'm on a Win 7 Home Premium 64-bit system. I've just done a simple test as follows:
Launched Firefox web-browser
Launched http://www.youtube.com from Firefox
Started to play one of the videos on the YouTube home page
Launched Audacity (2.0.0 RC1)
File...Open.. a file from the Recent files list
Played that file

Heard the sounds from the YouTube video and from Audacity at same time through the speakers.

So there is something about this problem that is specific to the original poster - their environment, their technique, etc.
